I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I tried to unplug a bit, which is always good to do now and then. I did postpone drawing the winners for the Running Food Chia giveaway, so I finally got around to it tonight. Nothing like a little suspense to make it exciting, eh??

And on to the week. We had a very low key Christmas, which is so great, especially in a house which is usually CRAZY!! I'm pretty sure that I have eaten my weight in sugar this past week. I feel very sweet! I'm back into healthy eating tomorrow. I had a "bridge"day today...so much easier than going cold turkey. I'm working very hard on not feeling guilty about my splurges this week. I enjoyed them, and now I will have to work a little bit harder to get back to my normal eating, but it was worth it. Thank you, Holistic Guru.
The boys had so much fun yesterday. To give you a sense of their excitement, here are a few pictures:
Almost every single picture we took was blurred. It cracked me up when I downloaded (uploaded?) them to the computer. They have been busy with Mario Kart Wii and their new DS games and the science experiments and the 1000 pieces of things you can build (my brother and sister-in-law to be can consider themselves warned that millions of little toy pieces will somehow make it into their home once they have children thanks to the Coverts ;) ), not to mention playing on the REAL DRUM SET!!! (I got a great video of Kel playing...I might have to post it at the end.)
Kel and I have also spent multiple hours trying to solve the Rubik's Cube that we gave Ryan. I even looked up the solution online and STILL can't solve it. Kel asked me why it bugged me so much, and I said, "it makes me feel stupid that I can't do this." He said, "Well, you are high-functioning stupid, if that makes you feel any better."
Funniest thing he said all year, I'm sure of it.
This week was also a great training week. I have been swimming so much that even Coach Mary is starting to get silly in my Training Peaks. I just checked my upcoming week, and she put in the same 5 swim workouts with this message: "Final week of this swim block Kelly-O-Rama!!!" I am proud to say that I did every single one of my workouts this week. I did move a cycle to a different day, but that is just about making things work with family, etc. I have also added a new and exciting twist to my routine with TRX. My gym just got a system, and some of my trainer friends and I started playing around on them this week. Then, I was pleasantly surprised by Santa with a TRX of my very own!
