I finished up the week today with a 15-miler at Green Lakes with Ben, that began in the foggy dark (headlamp required) and ended in the sprinkling rain while standing in a freezing cold lake or "nature's icebath" as I prefer to call it. No pictures today because it was just sort of gray and dreary, but the conversation and company made the miles click by without much effort. At one point I noticed we were at about 90 minutes and was amazed that we had been running that long, and I didn't even seem to feel it.
I am really feeling ready for my 50K. I'm excited and nervous, and that seems just about right to me. I so appreciate all of your kind words of encouragement for me going into this new area of endurance sports!
Here are my numbers for the week:
Run: 6h 16m 05s 35.88 mi
Walk/Hike: 2h 51m 58s 10.05 mi
Bike: 1h - spin class
Total: 10h 8m 2s 45.93 miles on my feet
Happy training and have a great week!
