The Sunday Report and July in Numbers

Is it August already??  Wow, this summer is really flying by.  I haven't even planted flowers yet!!  Oops...I guess that's not getting done this summer.  I feel like that is what my summer has been about...figuring out the priorities and not feeling guilty about the other stuff.  So what if my house doesn't have beautiful flowers planted all around?  I always forget to water them anyway, then Kel ends up doing it and complaining about it.  Two problems solved at once...no flowers, no fighting! :)

Anyway,  here are the numbers for the week.  Kind of a rough week for me mentally for some reason.  I think my nerves for my upcoming Aflac Iron Girl are manifesting themselves differently than they have in the past.  Usually I have really weird triathlon dreams.  You know, like I'm in transition but I forgot to get my bike off the car, and the car is really far away, then I go to get the bike, but the bike is not there it is at the little house on the other side of the lake...  Yeah, those kind of dreams.  I've not had any this season, but my mental energy has not been great.  Usually I am a very positive thinker, but for some reason my psyche has gotten the better of me this week.  One of my goals for the week ahead is to focus on a little more mental preparation...you might even see some right here!

Swim:  1h 10m 2601 yds
Bike:  5h 41m 55s 62.82 mi
Run:  1h 40m 19s 10.70 mi

Total:  8h 32m 15s

....and here are the numbers for the month of July:

Swim:  6h 25m 15,751 yds
Bike:  23h 27m 20s 327.84 mi
Run:  7h 18m 27.62 mi (includes quite a bit of aqua-jogging)

Total:  37h 10m 20s

I'm hoping that my run volume will really start to increase next month.  I'd love to have another 100 mile month soon!!

Have a great week!

  2. Wow! I never thought to add up my monthly totals. Yours show a commitment I haven't had the opportunity to rely on yet. Good going!
