While at the Aflac Iron Girl Atlanta Expo, I came across these two beautiful women selling cute running dresses.
Cathy and her mother
I was totally taken with the different prints of the dresses, and they were flying off the racks! I was able to chat with Cathy, and she told me all about the history of the company (started by two women, one of whom is a mommy as well.) They are just expanding across the country, and offered to let me try a dress to review for my readers.
When I returned from beach, my Nuu-Muu running dress was waiting for me, so on Monday I took it out for a spin, in my spin class, of course!
I threw on a pair of tri-shorts underneath and went for it. All of the people in my class loved it. I had no issues with it riding up or being in the way of the seat, although, I don't think I would wear it on a real bike ride. It is made of a really great material that wicks the sweat right away, but still stays nice and cool.
I had a really busy day, and went straight from spin at the Y to Ryan and Noah's swim lesson. From there, I went home and kicked around the house with it on. So comfy and cute at the same time. When Kel got home, even he commented on how much he loved it and kindly took my picture:
I chose the Soiree print.
I went to Master's Swim Monday night, so I just put a suit on underneath and went straight there. Pulled it back on after the swim, and then called it a day. I threw it in the wash the next day, hung it to dry, and it was like new in no time.
Since it is a running dress, I thought for this to be a really good review I needed to run in it. So run I did (yay!!). I wore it for a very hot and muggy 30 minute run last night, and loved it! I had a swim suit on underneath, because I had just finished an open water coaching session with some of my clients, but in the future I would probably stick to wearing tri shorts underneath. I loved, loved, loved how this dress felt, even in the sticky heat. It kept me quite cool, and I really liked how it flipped while I ran, but didn't seem to get in the way of my stride. I also liked how I don't have to keep pulling my top down as it slowly creeps up above my belly...come on...you know what I'm talking about! After my run, I even stopped into the grocery store, and I'm pretty sure a couple of very fit women were ogling my dress!!
Size-wise, I felt it was true-to-size based on the website's guide. I chose a medium, which they call (M)arvelous, and my only complaint is that I felt it to be just a tad on the short side, since I am 5'8". I'm not sure if I went with a large if it would be any longer. Other than that, it gently skimmed my mommy-like curves (or lack thereof), and I felt cute and feminine, which is always a plus.
They also have matching little girl sizes, which makes me incredibly jealous of everyone who has a daughter. Ahh...some things in life just aren't fair...no matter how much I love my boys!
Bottom line...I want more!!
And now I'm sure you want one too!! So, Nuu-Muu has kindly offered to give away a dress to one of my readers!! There are several ways to enter. Please leave a separate comment for each entry.
