I can't believe it's July already? Where is the summer going? I'm sitting here in my kitchen this morning, and both of my children are still in bed. I've already gotten a load of laundry done and made my smoothie and coffee. Usually I stay in bed until they get up, around 7 or 7:30, but I'm kind of liking this little alone time. I might just have to make a habit out of this!
Since Rev3 Quassy, I've lost a little bit of steam. The heels of both my feet have been bothering me enough to take a little bit of time off running. I've been aqua-jogging, which is not bad, but it's not running. I'm hoping a little bit of rest will set me up nicely for the rest of the season. I'm about 1 month out from Aflac Iron Girl Syracuse, and I really want to do well at the race for obvious reasons.
Here are the numbers for June:
Swim: 7h 24m 39s 20,614 yards
Bike: 24h 3m 5s 306.87 miles
Run: 6h 48m 3s 23.1 miles (time includes quite a bit of aqua-jogging)
Total: 38h 15m 47s
Not too shabby considering that I've taken it easy since Rev3.
We are off to the Outer Banks tomorrow! Woo-hoo!! I'm taking my bike and my wetsuit, so I should have some fun adventures to report! Happy 4th of July!
I'm bringing my bike and wetsuit with me this weekend too. Training surrounded by different scenery sure can be invigorating. Hope you have a great trip and I will look forward to some pictures from you. Enjoy!
