Well, I can hardly believe that another Aflac Iron Girl is done! This weekend has been a whirlwind, and it's not even noon on Saturday yet. After some flight difficulties on the way here, I finally made it to the last hour of the expo last night. My alarm went off early this morning, and I was up and at 'em, cheering, clapping, listening, and being inspired.
The day broke damp and chilly, but that didn't dampen the spirits of over 300 women that were racing the triathlon this morning. The top three finishers represented were 43, 52, and 32!! I love it! Three decades of strong, fit women!!
This race got my blood pumping for next week when I will get to cross the Aflac Iron Girl finish line in Syracuse! Stay tuned for another great webisode that will be up later this week, and enjoy the pictures.

Great pics! I love the "my mom looks hot today" sign.
ReplyDeleteMy you're a busy lady and a wonderful inspiration too! A prime example of how strong women are and how to balance family, friends ans self and everything in between. Love the picture and always your thoughts! You inspire me!!!

ReplyDeleteSo excited for Saturday. I see the medal ribbons are blue this year. I'm happy I will be adding to my collection...lol!
ReplyDeleteSee you next week. I will make it a point to stop by and see you.
Kelly, it was so fun meeting you! Thanks for being a gracious and fun host! You're so petite, just like Crowie! Thanks for helping me relax & work through nervous mouth. :-) Funny thing, I did that interview, the swim & bike all with a 1/4 blueberry bagel in the left side of my sports bra... I found it/noticed in in T2! Ha!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I love the sign!
ReplyDelete43, 52, and 32! Gotta love that! That is what the sport and the camaraderie is all about. Great slideshow.
ReplyDeleteI am stealing another idea from you. ;-)
Hey Kelly, it was great meeting you Friday at the expo in Racine. Thanks for cheering me on at the beginning of the run Saturday. I heard someone yell my name and was so surprised when I looked up and saw it was you! I had the most fantabulistically fun time ever on race day. Thanks to you and all the event staff and volunteers who made it great. (Cheryl Jestis)
