No worries, all action

Just a quick little post tonight.  I'm a little worried...

I'm a little worried about my feet.  The back of my heels on both feet have been acting up.  I didn't run at all last week after Rev3 Quassy, and yesterday I ran for 45 minutes.  This morning, I could barely walk, and they were really touchy all day.  According to my internet diagnosis, it's either achilles tendonitis or bursitis or both.

Generally, I don't consider myself to be a worrier.  Nothing ever good comes from it.  EVER.

So, I'm going to take a little bit of action instead of worrying.  It might involve a visit to the doctor - I'm hesistant to go because almost every doctor immediately resorts to "quit everything".  It will definitely involve a lot of aqua-jogging, ice, advil, stretching, and prayer over the next couple of weeks.  Not to mention a bit of research.

So no worries, all action!!

Speaking of action...don't miss the action on my giveaway.  You have until Saturday morning.

  1. Is it your Achilles that's hurting?? Lots of athlete bloggers going through that right now. Hope that's not your issue, but hopefully you can identify WHAT it is so you can get it healed up.

    Good luck girlie!

  2. I feel your pain! Okay, not literally. Mine is a different pain. I did a 1/2 marathon on the 5th and my shins are still bothering me. I have had two docs tell me I shouldn't run. I just sort of block that out. I am trying to do less jogging and more biking/swimming. Hope your problem clears up!

  3. Good for you for taking action. In my experience, I have had much better luck seeing a doc who specializes in sports medicine. Like my chiro says, sure you're going to feel better if you quit everything. But I need you to keep up some training (maybe reduced time/intensity) to see if the fix actually works in your real world. That philosophy has really resonated with me. Hope you heal up soon!
