This was a recovery week, so the numbers aren't big, but the thinking that went on this week was excellent. Sometimes the best training comes when we just rest and let it all soak in! Here are the numbers:
Swim: 1h 30m 3999 yds
Bike: 2h 57m 47s 28.47 mi
Run: 40m 13s 3.88 mi
Total: 6h 8m
The run numbers are quite low because I'm trying to work through a little bit of heel pain that I've had. It feels better each day, but I think I'll still be taking it easier than I would like to taking it in the upcoming week.
Speaking of the week, it's going to be a fun one! This is my last week off before I go back to work for the spring semester, so I'm going to live it up!! I'm headed over to Rochester on Wednesday to meet up with Coach Mary. She is going to take a look at my swim stroke, and we are going to figure out my season, and talk up a storm, I'm sure. I can't wait!! I'm also going to see Wicked on Thursday with my friend, P. I can't wait!! (Did I say that already?)
Now onto a topic that is not related to the Sunday Report at all, but something I can't wait to do because I'm a bloggy nerd and want to enter a giveaway.
So lately my small kitchen appliance obsession has turned to the Vitamix, the king of blenders. My friend, M., has kindly lent me hers to try, and I wasn't sure she would ever get it back, until I came across this amazing giveaway on Chocolate-Covered Katie's blog, which I have been reading for the past month or so. She is giving away a Vitamix!!
To get one entry, I just have to link to her blog from mine about the giveaway, BUT I can earn 6 extra entries by making a recipe from her blog and blogging about it here. Done and Done!!!
Here you go, Katie!! This isn't the first recipe of yours I've made, and I'm sure it won't be the last.
Raw Chocolate-Chip Cookie Dough Babies (apologies for the blurry pics...I guess I have a ways to go before I am a food blogger!)
The ingredients: 80 grams dates, 30 grams raw cashews, 1/4 tsp. pure vanilla
Process in the food processor (takes less than a minute for my mini-chopper.)
Add 6-7 grams chopped dark chocolate and stir into mix.
Make into little dough-balls.
Keep your fingers crossed for me....I so want that Vitamix!!
