The Annual Report

First, my numbers for the month:

Bike: 7h 50m 04s - 45.32 Mi
Run: 5h 35m 27s - 33.49 Mi
Swim: 6h 04m - 16700 Yd
Strength: 2h 03m

Total:  21h 32m 31s

I have been trying to channel Mirinda Carfrae while I've been running this week.  Really, I think up to this week I've never really run kidding!!  I had a great run on the treadmill the other day, and I'm looking forward to getting outside and seeing what it feels like to really run!!  Now on to the annual report.

This was an interesting year.  I fulfilled a lot of my New Year's Intentions for 2009, but I fell short on others (I definitely cannot see me abs!)  In terms of triathlon, it was a great year even though it ended with an injury.  Here are my numbers for the year:

Bike: 183h 31m 19s - 1672.51 Mi

Run: 95h 59m 32s - 592.59 Mi

Swim: 87h 13m 24s - 228871.7 Yd or 130.04 miles

Total:  366h 44m 15s - 2395.14 miles

On a personal level, I think this has been one of the most challenging years of my life.  Being a mother is such a challenging job, and even after 6 years of doing it, I am continuously surprised by how hard it is.  This year brought some revelations about Ryan that have certainly changed my perspective and forced me to adjust my expectations of parenthood. I just reread this post about Ryan, and I still have a lot of work to do.  I am still figuring it out, and praying like crazy that God will reveal to me the whys and hows of all this.

I'll be posting later with my 2010 intentions...I still am working them out.

Happy New Year!!

  1. I'm a little late on posting this, finally catching up on some blogs today! I'm not sure how much you've looked into asperger's, but I was diagnosed with celiac disease early last year, and I've read a lot about kids with autism and aspergers responding well to a gluten free diet. So just wanted to bring the diet factor to your attention in case it might be helpful. (I can also see this being something that some people say it works but its just coincidental...)

Woo-hoo!! I want to hear from you!
