Ahh...the air smells a little bit salty, the breeze blows just enough, there is absolutely no noise (except for the noise my children make), I don't have to make decisions about dinner, and I ran yesterday in a skirt. For all of these reasons and so much more, I love it in North Carolina. There is just something about this place that speaks to my soul. Every time I am here, I love it more.
The boys are having a great time with Grandma, Grandpa and my brother. Grandma always spoils them with lots of new toys...right now they are playing with the Caterpillar (the construction vehicles) train...a train with construction vehicles, you can't get any better than that.
I had a great four mile run yesterday. It was warm and my feet were quick (for me, anyway!). When I was almost home I saw a red fox, but didn't have a chance to snap a picture. Too bad I can't run that fast! I might even get to run a 5K tomorrow! My dad totally wants to go watch and has offered to wrangle the boys so Kel and I can both run.
On another note, I have a confession...actually an apology. I owe R. an apology for going a bit too far in expressing my innermost (and darkest) feelings in a post the other day. I have removed the post, but I have learned a very valuable blogging lesson...some things are too personal to put out there. I generally have a tendency to wear my heart on my sleeve and speak (or write) whatever I am thinking...regardless of the fact that I have not thought it through! I'm sorry R., I hope you will forgive me, and I want you to know that I love you and I know you love us!!
Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and I have already been eating like there is no tomorrow...so I'm not sure what tomorrow will bring! I hope all of you enjoy your day of thanks! Blessings to you and your family!!
