I just got back from a great ride on my Buttercup!! Much better than a few days ago. The sun was out, the sky was blue, and it was warm!!!
I rode 38 miles on a pretty hilly course, and felt great. Even the hills, which are usually my nemesis, I was able to spin up without too much effort (granted, I wasn't going that fast, but it didn't hurt.)
I switched saddles with my road bike and moved it a little more forward, and it felt much better. Still a little uncomfortable at around 2 hours, but I think that is more about me getting more time in the saddle than about the saddle.
I still need to work on drinking while riding. If I'm using my aerobottle I am fine, but when I have to reach down to grab a bottle and drink, I have to slow way down.
Now I'm off to a Syracuse Opera rehearsal. Have a great weekend!!

ReplyDeleteGreat. Those "getting to know you-getting to know all about you" rides are the best.
Enjoy.

Are you IN the Opera??
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a great ride --- sounds like you got in a high quality workout. I too have trouble w drinking while riding (and no room for an aero bottle :( )
