2009 - What am I going to do with it?

In keeping with my post on potential, here are my specific New Year's intentions for 2009.

1. Do what I say I am going to do.

Very often I find myself saying I'm going to do things with full intention of actually following through with it, and then I just don't! This year, if I say I'm going to do something, I am going to do it. This also means I am really going to have to think about what I say am going to do.

2. Live up to my potential for 2009.

Here are some more specifics, just in case you wanted to know:

Triathlon Goals

1. Race the 2009 Musselman Half-Ironman Triathlon on July 19, 2009.
that's a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and a 13.1 mile run. 70.3 miles total

2. Run a marathon in under four hours.

3. Be consistent and thoughtful with my training, including using a heart rate monitor.

4. See my abs.

Health Goals

1. Eat healthy, whole food, avoid processed food and limit sugar.

2. Take a multi-vitamin, calcium and Vitamin C supplements.

3. Floss regularly.

4. See my abs.

Family Goals

1. Have more fun and be more silly with my kids.

2. Go camping.

3. Have more fun and be more silly with my husband.

4. Keep my house cleaner.

5. Remember what is important and let the other things go.

6. See my abs.

Life Goals

1. Read the entire Bible.

2. Avoid gossip, including the gossip from other people's mouths.

3. Write thank you cards.

4. See my abs.


It seems like a lot when I write it all down, but all of it really falls under the first two. I'll keep you posted on my progress,



and I will definitely take a picture when I can see my abs!!!

    I like how you call them intentions...it's definitely more precise.
